If you have any additional questions on this process please let us know here.
First, we don't care for the refacing concept.
Most of those reasons are spelled out on the page dedicated to Kitchen Cabinets.
Of course here's more: Refacing usually ranges between $7,000 and $25,000, and the real shame is that after spending all that money, the refacing part is done by applying what they call a "self adhesive covering," - which in reality is a cardboard thin piece of laminated wood with a sticky back, (so thin in fact, that it is cut with scissors.)

Worst of all, the exposed edges of these "stickers" are susceptible to chipping, cracking, and pealing.
Did you know that the average cost to replace all of your cabinets ranges from $10,000 to $30,000?
Unless you spend a lot of $$ your cabinets will be constructed with glue staples and MDF (particle board) and a veneer.
We are suggesting if you like the quality of your cabinets, keep them! We offer a budget refurbishment that runs on average from $350 to $600. We'll explain the process in another FAQ.
We also offer refinishing of your cabinets, we are about the only company in the area that performs this work...and we're good at it. Refinishing runs from $550 to $5,000. Our average range is $1,300 to $1,900. Estimates are free, check us out.
Right now we take cash or check. We will eventually install an e-Commerce suite on this site that can process credit cards, demand isn't quite there yet. *We now accept credit cards (See lower left side of page)! On kitchen cabinet refinishing projects we would prefer a 15% deposit on the day we begin work (that's negotiable).
We do our own work.
That is the only way to maintain any level of quality control and keep costs down.
My prices are affordable because there is no middleman.
Absolutely NOT!
I can't stand that and I will never do it.
Quite honestly, I think the reface & replace companies will do my selling for me...their sticker shock usually does the trick.
My policy is to tell you about what I do and offer ideas regarding what I can do for you. It's your home and your decision.
I don't see how being a high pressure irritant would help my case at all.
No, but I have a couple of quality companies I can refer you too.
Our schedule varies quite a bit.
Typically, we are scheduled a couple of weeks out.
You don't have to wait that long for an estimate though, our policy is to be able to meet you for a consultation within 48 hours, if you desire.
Sometimes our client's schedules change because life happens, so we may be able to fit you in earlier than mentioned above.
Estimates are free, you have nothing to lose.
Refurbishing typically takes less than two days and is very non-intrusive, you don't even have to empty your cabinets or drawers.
Refinishing requires more explanation since the process is very different from refurbishment.
We come in and take your doors with us.
We then process the cases right in your home.
After the cases have been processed we can then apply the stain & sealer.
After that we come back with your doors and put them back.
Typically, the process takes less than 5 days. The process is split up, we aren't in your house 5 days straight. We'll spend about 2 days in your house.
It's pretty much the same process with a few exceptions. We can explain the difference during a consultation, we have to protect our proprietary process. Suffice it to say your home won't smell of caustic chemicals.
Bare in mind you can change the color of your cabinets by refinishing them. With refurbishment you have to keep your original color.
Simply put, we remove years of grime and grease and then correct cosmetic flaws.
Please don't confuse us with a cabinet cleaning company...we do a lot more than clean.
After we clean your cabinets we repair scratches, scuffs, steam marks, etc.
We also seal in our repair work so it lasts. We can't tell you how we do it in this forum due to the proprietary nature of the process. We can explain it to you in person during a consultation.
